Pauline volunteers regularly in Manchester and is a board member of the Manchester City Council Valuing Older People Initiative.  Care and Repair has supported Pauline to stay in her own home in later life by providing grab rails, banister rails,  and new windows.

Pauline said “ My husband and I have lived in my house for 40 years where we have raised our children and grandchildren and we have no intention to move.  This is our home where we have so many wonderful, happy memories.”

Silverlinks will link older volunteers with other older people who are facing making choices about their housing, to provide a listening ear, impartial advice and to give them support in making decisions about their future.
